We decided as per the results from the research we have done earlier three materials that can be applied to our design and started to study how can it be fabricated using these materials.

The task was to explore and research different techniques for digital fabrication and suggest some material for fabricating our specific design.

The first idea was generated from creating a Voronoi tessellation over a flat surface, in order to create a self generating cellular pattern which can then act as a multi functional object for example as dividing screen or if extruded in the third dimension it can be used as a storage compartments or as a book shelf. to achieve the idea of open source it has also to be locally fabricated by individuals, they can do that by picking the part of the pattern they like from a web interface and download the 3d parts for this pattern and 3d print the members and fix them to achieve the intended design.
